| A portable version of this game for Game Boy Color (known as Mario Golf GB (マリオゴルフＧＢ) in Japan) was also developed by Camelot Software Planning. Unlike the console version, it includes role-playing video game elements. The Game Boy Color version was released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in Japan on October 3, 2012, in North America on October 11, 2012, and in Europe and Australia on May 29, 2014. In Europe and Australia, it was available early for free to customers who purchased Mario Golf: World Tour on the Nintendo eShop prior to May 29, 2014, which was released on May 2, 2014. |
